History Established in 1987 The practice was originally started in 1959 from Dr. Ted Parker. Dr. Mike Thomas purchased the hospital in 1987. It then became the 2nd out of 7 Noah’s Animal Hospitals. Mike T. Dr. Thomas lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with honors from Auburn University. Over the years he has accumulated six animal hospitals, mostly from retiring veterinarians all of which are in Central Indiana. American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) named Dr. R. Michael Thomas Practitioner of the Year in 2008. In 2001-2002 he served as AAHA president. He was honored by Auburn University being named the Distinguished Alumni in 2009. Dr. Thomas has veterinary licenses in six states. His professional interests include recent and current changes in veterinary medicine and helping private veterinary practice survive and thrive. He is also interested in, veterinary medical ethics, companion animal general practice, orthopedic and general surgery, dermatology, and facilitating the practice of extraordinary veterinary medicine through assembling an outstanding group of doctors and training of support staff.
